Lets Talk Discord

Lets Talk Discord
A thriving Discord community

Back in 2015 Jason Citron and Stanislav Vishnevsky realised gamers needed a special place to chat and coordinate their gaming adventures. Discord was born from this need.

It became the platform to use among gaming enthusiasts. Voice chatting was super easy and hassle free. Discord is more than just a voice chat tool. It's a virtual hangout where players can not only talk but also exchange messages and even have video calls. This unique combination of text, voice, and video features made Discord the go-to platform for gamers to strategize, socialize, and build friendships.

With Discord, gamers can create their own servers, which are like virtual gathering places. Within these servers, you can have different channels dedicated to specific topics or games. It helps keep everything organized and ensures that discussions flow smoothly. Whether you're planning strategies, sharing gaming tips, or simply hanging out, Discord provides the perfect environment for it all.

One of the things that sets Discord apart is its user-friendly interface. It's designed to be intuitive and easy to navigate, so even if you're not a tech wizard, you can still jump right in and start chatting with fellow gamers. Plus, Discord offers a wide range of customization options, allowing you to personalize your profile and server to reflect your unique style.

Since its launch, Discord has expanded beyond gaming and has become a hub for communities of various interests. People with a passion for art, music, technology, and more have found their place on Discord. It's a platform where like-minded individuals can come together, share their creations, collaborate on projects, and learn from one another.

Discord, Chaos that works!

Discord's impact goes beyond just gaming. It has become a cultural phenomenon, with communities organizing meetups, events, and even conferences. The platform continues to evolve, introducing new features like Stage Channels, which allow users to host live audio events. Discord's commitment to enhancing the user experience ensures that it will remain a leader in online community-building for years to come.

Starting from 14 April 2023 Discord is rolling out the ability to send Voice Messages in DMs, GDMs, and servers with fewer than 200 members on mobile. At the press (and hold) of a button, you’ll be able to send a quick little quip to a friend without having to hop in Voice to hear it. They’re faster when you just wanna “say the thing you wanna say” quickly, and Voice Messages harness the power of Krisp noise cancellation to block out background noise, making you sound just as good as you do in-person.

They’re also a great way to hear a friend’s Voice and have a more personal conversation without the stress of starting a “formal” Voice call. You never know if someone’s too busy to take an impromptu call or join a server’s Voice channel, but with a quick Voice Message, they’ll still be able to listen to your voice on their own time.
